TWO people were taken to hospital after a collision between a tractor with a trailer, and a car on the A55 Expressway.
The incident happened on the eastbound carriageway at Hawarden on Saturday at 5.28pm.
The casualties - whose names and ages have not been released -were rushed to two hospitals.
A Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust spokesman said: “Two casualties were taken to hospital. A male was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital. He was fully conscious but his condition is unknown.”
The spokesman said the other casualty was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
North Wales Police say there were two vehicles involved in the incident.
A force spokeswoman said: “There was a collision between a car and a tractor pulling a trailer.”
Police closed one lane eastbound and allowed eastbound traffic through in a single lane.
One motorist, who did not wish to be named, drove past the wreckage.
He said: “We were driving along the A55 eastbound at 6.45pm. As we came towards the turn-off, we saw four or five police cars.
“We saw that the Wrexham turn-off was closed and the eastbound carriageway was down to a single lane.
“As we were ushered past the incident, we could see a dark coloured car and the tractor and trailer were still there. The car was in a really nasty state.”
