Crowds turn out for Holywell Christmas lights switch on

MORE than 2,000 people visited Holywell for the Christmas lights switch on last Friday.

Crowds of between 2,000 and 2,500 descended on the town centre for the event.

Town centre manager Medwyn Roberts said: “By the time the lights were switched on at 5pm the town centre was wall to wall people.”

Fairground rides were in the town for the afternoon and children from the town’s five primary school switched on lights.
