Man dies after collapsing at Shell petrol station in Northop

A MAN aged 53 fell ill with a suspected heart attack at a Shell petrol station and later died.

Paramedics were called to the station on the westbound carriageway of the A55 Expressway in Northop yesterday (Wednesday) at 6.51pm.

He was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan.

A North Wales Ambulance Service spokesman said medics attempted to revive him at the petrol station and in hospital but he did not survive.

It is believed that the man, who has not been named, had suffered a cardiac arrest. Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
