POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information following a distraction burglary in Oakenholt, Flint.
Between noon-12.30pm on Tuesday, February 16, a burglary occurred at an address in Chester Road by a man claiming to be from the water board, saying there was a problem with the supply.
He asked the elderly woman to test the taps while he went upstairs. The woman then realised rooms had been searched, but it is believed nothing was taken.
The man is described as being around 5ft 9ins tall and of slim build. He had short dark curly hair and was wearing black clothing.
Anyone with information or anybody who witnessed suspicious behaviour in the Chester Road area is asked to contact North Wales Police on 101, if you are calling from Wales, or Crimestoppers Wales anonymously on 0800 555 111.
