Welsh Assembly Government to organise clean-up in Broughton

A COUNCILLOR has been assured a litter pick will be organised in the near future to tidy up land off the A55 and A494.

Saltney councillor Klaus Armstrong-Braun complained to the Welsh Assembly Government over rubbish ruining areas in Broughton close to the English border.

But a response from a WAG traffic officer this week said: “I can assure you that we are in the process of organising a litter pick on many areas of the A55/A494, it is envisaged that the work will commence in the next week or so.”

The complaint has also been passed on to the Highways Agency in England.
