A CAREERS event with a difference is being held at Deeside College.
On Wednesday from 5-8pm the college will be holding its first ever land-based careers evening.
The event, which takes place at the college’s Northop campus, Holywell Road, Northop, will showcase all land-based courses including animal care, equine, floristry, horticulture and land- based machinery.
On the night students will have the opportunity to apply for full-time courses starting in September 2010.
Demonstrations will also be ongoing throughout the evening, providing a further insight into certain areas of study.
Equine student Charlotte Scott, 18, of Flint, is currently studying on a National Certificate course at Northop campus, and is now looking at university courses.
She said: “I definitely recommend that anybody thinking about a career in equine or other land-based areas should come and talk to Deeside College at the open evening for advice and guidance.”
