NORTH East Wales Search and Rescue (NEWSAR) has been working with the British Red Cross to revive a walking event that last took place in 2005.
The Millennium Walk is a 26-mile hike along the Offa’s Dyke path from Clwyd Gate to Prestatyn.
About 65 walkers took part in the event.
Dave Fildes of NEWSAR said: “We took part in the fundraiser to raise much-needed funds to keep the charity going.
“NEWSAR does not receive any payment for providing its services – and we need to raise about £15,000 a year to run the team.
“We hope that between us and the British Red Cross we have raised about £2,500, which will be split between both charities.”
