Llangefni 2nds 8 Flint 33
FLINT made a flying start when they travelled to take on Llangefni’s second string, and they never looked back after scoring five unanswered first-half touchdowns.
The game started with Flint playing the better rugby and the hosts were never really in it.Š
The first try was scored by centre Harry Goldsmith, unconverted, and the second was claimed by prop Ieuan Davies and was converted by no 10 Richie Williams
Flint’s third touchdown soon followed from fullback Gordon Rodger, which also went unconverted, and the fourth try was saw captain and centre Dustin Parry cross, but his effort was also unconverted.
Winger Ryan Beck then crossed for try number five and Flint scored a further penalty before the end of the first half.
The home side’s only score of the first half came through one penalty, giving Flint a comfortable 30-3 half-time advantage.
In the second half, fourth-placed Flint took their foot off the gas and only scored one penalty, courtesy of Williams once again.
Yet it was Llangefni who had the final say to save face late on, scoring an unconverted try.
