Mold through to final of Flintshire Knockout Cup

HOLDERS Mold stormed into the final of the Flintshire Knockout Cup with a convincing victory at home to Northop Hall.

Only Gareth Williams (28), Alex Smith (21) and skipper Danny Nolan (19) got going as Hall could put on 100-7 from their 20 overs in the last-four tie.

Jon Bedbrook (3-38) did most of the damage while Cliff Wiseman (1-14) and Craig Embleton (1-16) bowled economically in their five overs for Mold, who cruised to 130-4 in reply.

Captain Jamie Griffiths (27no) saw his side home to book a showpiece showdown with Pontblyddyn. See next week’s Chronicle for a full report.
