NORTH Wales Super League outfit Crusaders hit the road on Sunday.
Brian Noble’s improving side make their way to big-spending Warrington Wolves (3pm) keen to make it three wins on the spin.
Back-to-back victories over Hull and Salford City Reds has boosted confidence in the Crusaders camp but they will face a tough test against a Warrington team that have won three of their first four games of the season and who are being tipped as genuine contenders for the Super League title.
The match will come a little too early for Tony Martin, the Australian centre Crusaders signed from Wakefield Wildcats.
The 32-year-old, who has been suffering with a knee injury sustained in pre-season, is expected to return for the visit of Catalans Dragons to the Racecourse on Friday, March 19.
But that has not stopped him from his casting his eye over the clash with the Wolves.
Martin said: “Warrington have had some good results of late so it will be another tough test for us.
“But it’s something we’re looking forward too. We’re looking to improve on our performance every week no matter who we play against. It’s another step up the ladder for us and hopefully we can do ourselves proud on Sunday.”
Crusaders are putting a coach on for the Wolves game. Tickets and coach travel can be booked by phoning the club shop on 01978 262 129.
