Ricky Walden
RICKY Walden has just claimed the biggest scalp of his career – the legendary Stephen Hendry.
The 25-year-old from Bagillt edged out the seven-time world champion – arguably the greatest player to ever pick up a cue – 5-4 to book his place in the second round of the Shanghai Masters.
World number 35 Walden will now play world number 10 Neil Robertson in the last 16 on Thursday.
ON FRIDAY – See The Flintshire Chronicle for more on Ricky’s victory to remember.
