Principal’s charity dinner raises thousands for NSPCC

DEESIDE College’s fifth annual charity dinner proved a huge success.

The evening, hosted by principal David Jones, raised just under £6,000 for the NSPCC, the college’s nominated charity for 2008.

This year’s event was sponsored by engineering group DRB, as well as a wide range of companies and individuals from the local community.

The fundraising dinner was followed by a raffle and auction.

Deeside College partnership manager - external affairs, Paul Hinchliffe, said: “We have been organising the principal’s charity dinners for the past 10 years and we are once again very pleased it was an extremely enjoyable evening for all those attending. We are very grateful to our suppliers and customers who supported the evening.”
