Special tour of historic hall and gardens for charity

TAKE the chance to visit Erddig Hall gardens on Saturday, March 21, and blow away the winter blues.

Head gardener Glyn Smith will be offering guided tours at lunchtime and 3pm in aid of the National Gardens Scheme.

The tours cost £3 per person with all the proceeds going to charities, including Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Crossroads and Help the Hospices.

There will also be a lecture in Erddig at 10.30am, when celebrated author and garden historian Helena Attlee will talk about her new book The Gardens of Wales.

Erddig is included in the book and Helena will be signing copies.

Ticket prices are £10 for the lecture and garden tour.

For further details phone the National Trust on 01978 355314 to book a ticket.

The garden tours will be a unique opportunity to learn how this important listed Grade 1 historic garden has been laid out and to ask any questions about the planting and management of the garden.
