THE new Odeon cinema at Eagles Meadow, Wrexham, has proved a hit with film fans, selling more than 30,000 tickets in its opening month.

Figures released by the cinema yesterday reveal how film fans have munched through nearly half a tonne of pick ‘n’ mix and enjoyed close to 5,000 scoops of ice cream.

The Odeon team has spent a combined total of 9,000 hours working.

The state-of-the-art, eight screen multiplex cinema, at the heart of the £100m Eagles Meadow shopping and leisure complex, began inviting residents to get ‘Fanatical About Film’ on March 13.
