Bryn Deva Primary school, Connah’s Quay wins Active Mark Cymru 2008/09 award

THE good sports of Bryn Deva Primary school in Connah’s Quay are celebrating a well deserved award.

An Active Mark Cymru 2008/09 award was presented after a recent visit by Sports Council of Wales officials.

They were sufficiently impressed and reckoned the school ticked all the boxes for commitment to physical education (PE).

Sports and PE coordinator Helen Foley said: “The school won the Flint, Holywell and Deeside Athletics Tournament. A lot of our children are successful, many enjoy sport and it could be their way of life in years to come.”
