FLINTSHIRE County Council is taking too long to provide help to homeless people, claims Labour AM Carl Sargeant.
The latest local authority performance data shows the council took an average of 228 days to provide services to people declared homeless in the past financial year. The average figure across Wales was 130 days.
In 2007-2008 the Flintshire figure was 121 days.
The Alyn and Deeside AM said: “I find it particularly alarming that Flintshire Council’s performance has deteriorated so badly.
“These figures are completely unacceptable – Flintshire Council is failing homeless people.”
