Refurbs Flintshire employee gets a new bike

A NEW employee at a Flint firm has a faster way to get to work – after he was given a bike.

Brian Clifton, from Mostyn, started working at Refurbs Flintshire through the Intermediate Labour Market (ILM) work programme, funded by the Coalfields Regeneration Trust, which sees the company take on five unemployed people every 16 weeks.

The general assistant was so keen to get to work on time he applied to the Job Centre Plus for a bike and received one from GW Cycles in Deeside.

Project supervisor Colin Gent said: “With such determination Brian is sure of job success during his programme at Refurbs and will undoubtedly secure a permanent position though his job search activities made possible by the Coalfields Regeneration Trust.”
