Connah’s Quay Library renovation nearing completion

A SIX-MONTH revamp of Connah’s Quay Library, costing £300,000, is almost complete.

The Wepre Drive building was one of 23 across Wales to be given a share of a £3m National Assembly for Wales pot last year.

The £300,000 is being used to renovate the inside of the premises, build a new entrance hall, install a lift and create an IT learning suite.

Toilet facilities will be improved and windows will be replaced throughout the building as part of the revamp.

Since July the library has been temporarily located in Chester Road West, Shotton.

A council spokesman said: “Building work is on schedule, with the library due to move back from its temporary accommodation in late February or early March.”
