Flint lifeboat crew called out after request by North Wales Police

LIFEBOAT crews were called out yesterday afternoon (Thursday) after police reported someone ‘acting suspiciously’ on Flintshire Bridge.

Lifeboat assistance was requested by North Wales Police and Liverpool Coastguard requested a launch at 4.45pm.

A Flint lifeboat crew were on the scene at 5pm, just as the person was being detained by police. The lifeboat returned to the station 15 minutes later.

Alan Forrester, RNLI operations manager, said: “We are only seven weeks into the year, and this is our fifth call.”
