Flintshire artist to hold sponsored walk for Haiti this weekend

A FLINTSHIRE artist is preparing to host a sponsored walk in aid of the Haiti relief effort.

Jennifer Dodd, of Higher Kinnerton, is calling on residents to take part in the six-mile event on Sunday, beginning at 11am from the Royal Oak pub, Kinnerton Lane.

Organiser Jennifer, who has a showcase of artwork at her Brookside Gallery, said she hoped as many people would turn up as possible.

She said: “The more the merrier! The sponsorship forms say canine characters are welcome, so dog-walkers are invited, and people can wear red to promote the Red Cross, who have been so supportive in this and other fundraisers.

“They have set up a fantastic vaccination programme, so people taking part will know the money will be distributed towards that.”
