PLAYERS from Flintshire’s leading sides clubbed together to wrap the season up in style by raising money for a good cause.
Seven days after the real action ended, Northop Hall, Pontblyddyn, Northop and Prestatyn aces descended on Connah’s Quay’s Central Park for a charity six-a-side tournament which raised £440 for The Stroke Association’s Butterflies After Stroke service.
Although the Quay, hosts and organisers, fielded two teams, it was Pont who emerged victorious on an afternoon when some gigantic sixes were recorded.
