CRITICALLY acclaimed singer-songwriter Katie Buckhaven brings her new album and tour to Alexander’s in Chester on Sunday, March 6.
She returns to the city after her sell-out gig at last year’s Chester Summer Music Festival, this time performing a double-bill with the acclaimed Buckinghamshire based rock band Jump.
Katie’s second studio album Girl in the White Dress is a blend of influences with folk, country and electronica undertones.
Bedfordshire-based Katie is hoping to build on the success of her 2004 self-titled album and follow-up EP Forever Can Wait, which was released last year. She recently sold out at The Stables in Milton Keynes and at gigs in Chesham and Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire.
Katie was first discovered by Sir Michael Parkinson in 2004 and her first album received rave reviews from the national media.
She followed this with a tour of Europe including Paris,Seville and Berlin before returning to the UK where she has continued to tour.
Tickets for Katie’s double bill gig with Jump at Alexander’s are £6 in advance or £7 on the night. Visit www.alexanderslive.com or ring 01244 340005.
