Former Savage Garden singer Darren Hayes to play Liverpool gig

FORMER Savage Garden singer Darren Hayes returns to the UK for a series of live shows ahead of the release of his new album.

The Australian singer songwriter will perform four live shows in the UK ahead of the October release of Secret Codes & Battleships.

Hayes will be at the O2 Academy in Liverpool on October 15. Tickets £25.

It’s been an extraordinary journey for Darren Hayes – as one half of pop duo Savage Garden and then a successful solo artist he’s been responsible for more than 26 million album sales worldwide including two US No 1 hits.

The new album was recorded in Stockholm, Los Angeles, Sydney and Darren's home studio in London.

There are reunions with both the multi Grammy Award winning maestro Walter Afanasieff, who produced Savage Garden's Affirmation album and Darren's Spin, and Rex Goh, Savage Garden's long-term guitarist.

Hayes will be showcasing both new material and performing hits from his catalogue on the tour.
