Washington Irving to perform at Telford’s Warehouse in Chester

SINCE the release of their debut EP Little Wanderer, Head Thee Home in 2010, Washington Irving have been attracting an ever-growing fan base across the UK.

The band produces a powerful blend of raucous folk pop, blending elements of The Arcade Fire, The Band, The Waterboys, Big Country and The Pogues.

The EP has received airplay from the likes of Vic Galloway and Huw Stephans on Radio 1 as well as being supported by BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson.

Washington Irving kick-started 2012 with a storming performance at the 02ABC1 with Mull Historical Society as part of Celtic Connections.

Currently working on their debut album, they have had a great summer at festivals such as Stag & Dagger, Brew in the Bog, Hebridean Celtic Festival, Deer Shed, Wickerman and Hop Farm.
