Scouting For Girls to play MEN Arena in Manchester in April

SCOUTING For Girls have announced a show at Manchester’s MEN Arena next spring as part of their first UK headline arena tour.

Tickets for the Saturday, April 9 concert are priced £23.50.

The London trio, who made their MEN Arena debut at the venue’s 15th birthday party concert this summer, return to perform tracks from their latest hit album Everybody Wants To Be On TV.

In 2008, Scouting For Girls became the biggest-selling new British band of the year.

Fronted by Roy Stride, the band quickly became renowned for their piano-led pop songs including She’s So Lovely, Heartbeat and Elvis Ain’t Dead.

The band’s first release was the It’s Not About You EP in 2007, which went on to become the highest placed limited-edition EP in chart history.

Their self-titled debut album went to the top of the charts the following year, after selling more than 900,000 copies in the UK alone.

Everybody Wants To Be On TV, released earlier this year, includes the number one hit single This Ain’t A Love Song.
