Strictly Come Dancing stars Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace to thrill audiences at The Lowry in April

Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace have dazzled television audiences for six series of the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing with their stunning tango routines.

Now they have created their own live show, Midnight Tango, a breathtaking evening bringing to life all the drama, sensuality and elegance of this most exciting of dance forms.

Midnight Tango will run at The Lowry from April 20–23 next year.

The show is set in a late-night bar in downtown Buenos Aires. Vincent and Flavia will be joined by 10 of the finest tango dancers in the world and, between them, they will take the audience on a journey into the heart of this intoxicating city, as danger and excitement, joy and jealousy, pain and passion combine into a spectacular and explosive evening.

Flavia said: “Vincent and I have been performing since a very young age, all over the world and in ballrooms all around the United Kingdom.

“We have had only a small taster of performing on a stage this year and it was a thrilling experience.

“The fact that we can finally tour with our own Argentine tango show is so exciting, it's difficult to put into words how we feel.”

The nationwide tour is produced by Arlene Phillips and Adam Spiegel.

According to Arlene: “Watching Vincent and Flavia performing their Argentine tango, I feel, is as thrilling as dance gets.

“They have thrilled audiences on Strictly Come Dancing, and their new theatre show is a great opportunity for people up and down the country to see them live and feel the excitement."

Tickets, priced £20.50-£32.50, are available from 0843 2086005 or via the website www.thelowry.com.
