The Jolly Tar near Nantwich gets ready for busy week of New Year gigs

A TRIO of top bands has been lined up for New Year’s Eve spectacular at the Jolly Tar in Wardle on Friday.

Tar regulars Acoustic Unlimited are on the bill to bring a fine set of jazz, classical music and virtuoso guitar.

Also set to feature are Chew The Roots and The Helicoptors.

Landlord Ray Bispham said: “What a brilliant line-up of bands, all featuring members of the Darlington family!

“Chew The Roots will see in the New Year with their lively Irish, foot tapping songs whilst The Helicopters show is a much awaited reunion of the original 80s band and will play a full set after the New Year celebrations.”

Meanwhile, The Pepper Town Band are back tonight (Wednesday) for more jazz, while heavy rock covers outfit Mistreated are on stage tomorrow.

Classic rockers Sonic Tapestry round off the week on New Year’s Day.
