Stars of The Only Way Is Essex head to The Beat Bar in Widnes

ITV2 hit show The Only Way Is Essex is coming to Widnes.

Stars from programme will be at The Beat Bar in Victoria Square on May 21 to party with the crowd.

The programme, said to be the UK’s answer to top American shows such as Jersey Shore and The Hills, is based in Essex and follows the lives of: ‘real people in modified situations, saying unscripted lines but in a structured way’.

Joey Essex, who recently appeared on BBC Radio 1 with Scott Mills, is one of the most popular stars of the show and will be among the cast visiting Widnes.

He is best known for his heart-throb ways, two-sizes-too-small shoes and his playboy antics.

Bar supervisor Martin Wray said: “Joey Essex is my favourite member of the show – he is so funny and young people can relate to him.

“The Beat Bar has been booking various celebs over the last year to brighten up Widnes nightlife and The Only Way Is Essex is the perfect tonic as it is very current and glamorous!”

As well as the party animal cast, live band Funky Monks will also be playing.

Doors open at 9pm. Tickets are £5 for general admission or £20 for VIP tickets.
