THE England Polo team has announced it will play an international match at Chester Racecourse Polo Club for the first time later this year.
The team will play South America at the Roodee on September 8 – the third in the season of an all new Audi International Series.
The new venue for the series is likely to become a popular highlight in the Cheshire social season.
It is also the second polo-related coup for the racecourse in a year after welcoming Prince William as a player at a Chester event just weeks after he married Catherine Middleton.
Richard Thomas, chief executive of Chester Racecourse, said: “We feel privileged that our polo club has been selected as the new venue to host an Audi International for the upcoming season.”
This season, the England polo team will be donning newly-designed shirts by the official clothing supplier Joules.
