A WEALTH of pop stars from the 1980s have been lined up to join in the fun at the annual Tatton Park Picnic Concerts in July.
Tony Hadley, Rick Astley, Roland Gift from Fine Young Cannibals, Heaven 17 and Altered Images will head for Cheshire for the second day of the popular annual event.
Before then, the traditional Hallé Fireworks And Choral Spectacular will once more be an
evening of the most celebrated and exciting pieces of choral music with the famous orchestra and a choir of 100 voices.
Held in the picturesque grounds of the estate, the Tatton Park Picnic Concerts are a highlight of the North West’s summer season.
The event celebrates the wonderful British tradition of the picnic as 10,000 concert-goers enjoy scrumptious picnics in the spectacular surrounds before experiencing quality music and breathtaking firework displays.
The Hallé Fireworks And Choral Spectacular will come to the beautiful lakeside setting for a magical evening on Saturday, July 28.
The world-class Hallé Orchestra and choir will perform renditions of some of the most dramatic choral masterpieces including Handel’s Zadok The Priest, the Anvil Chorus from Verdi’s Il Travatore and Orf’s formidable O Fortuna from Carmina Burana.
