New musical Vampirette comes to Opera House in Manchester

GET ready to go batty for Vampirette, the new blood-curdlingly hilarious musical comedy, premiering at the Opera House in Manchester from May 4-19.

This new production follows Vampi, a young vampire who is determined to be a normal girl.

In this clever comedy the life (and secrets) of a Vampire family in Manchester is revealed as they set about their daily lives.

While Vampi’s brother and parents are contented vampires, she just wants to be ordinary – spend time with friends, fall in love – and have a reflection.

Starring in Vampirette are Over the Rainbow and We Will Rock You star Lauren Samuels (Vampi), Manchester’s Matthew Rixon (Igor), Caroline Deverill (Countess Zanguina), Jay Worthy (Dr Acula), Chester actor Adam C Booth (Rudi), Stuart Matthew Price (Andrew Van Helsing) and Norman Bowman (Stanley Pea).

Vampirette combines the fascination with vampires with fun, laughter and great music, in a stunning stage show that includes vampire flying sequences.

The show includes new takes on classic songs including I’ve Got You Under My Skin, Down At The Club, Come Fly With Me, California Girls, Total Eclipse Of The Heart, Eloise and many more.
