Vue at Cheshire Oaks to screen La Boheme from London’s Royal Opera House

THE VUE cinema in Cheshire Oaks will screen a dramatic performance of La Bohème live via a satellite broadcast from London’s Royal Opera House on Tuesday, January 15, at 7.15pm.

The performance is part of Vue’s biggest season of classical screenings to date.

The operatic tale follows a group of bohemian friends in Paris, charting their tumultuous love lives.

The story begins on Christmas Eve with a chance encounter between writer Rodolfo and embroider Mimi. The pair instantly fall in love, but their relationship is pulled apart as Rodolfo becomes increasingly jealous and Mimi’s health fails. As time moves on, the pair both lament their loneliness.

Vue Cinemas will screen a number of live performances by the Royal Opera House and Metropolitan Opera House in New York in 2013, offering audiences the chance to see famous classical productions, such as Francesca Da Rimini and Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, without having to travel to London or New York.

Tickets are now on sale at www.myvue.com/special-events.
