Feast of festive treats on offer at picturesque location
CHRISTMAS is just around the corner and you can get into the festive spirit early at Port Sunlight’s Christmas food fair.
This year will be the third year the fair has been running at Port Sunlight Museum and it will be held during the weekend of December 1 and 2 from 10am-4pm.
Filled to the brim with food, family fun and yuletide delights, the event will bring together the very best in food and drink producers from Cheshire and across the North West, along with the nation’s top chefs demonstrating their tips and tricks in the kitchen.
Whether it’s gift hunting you’re after, a chance to relax and enjoy good food and drink or a fun day out with friends, Port Sunlight Christmas Food Fayre has everything you need to prepare for the perfect Christmas Day.
This year will welcome back chef patron Cyrus Todiwala, who will be hosting the chef demonstration stage and whipping up a selection of Christmas favourites with a twist. Cyrus will be joined on stage by Michelin-star chef Marc Wilkinson, local award-winning baker Ceri Newton and fine-dining authority Richard Fox, to name a few.
And children of all ages will be thrilled with the range of interactive activities. They can make friends with the real Rudolph in a reindeer petting area, create Victorian Christmas crafts or walk the festive food fair trail.
Five to 11 year-olds can get the chance to take advantage of free cookery sessions with Junior Chefs Academy, while teenagers and adults looking to hone their skills can take a masterclass with acclaimed chef Brian Mellor.
Visitors can recharge their batteries at the street food market and covered seating area after a busy day of foodie fun, while those after a little luxury can treat themselves to a glass of fizz in the champagne bar.
