Connah's Quay family identifies victim of A55 collision in Chester


FORMAL identification of a man who died in an incident on the A55 near Chester has taken place.

The man has been identified by next of kin as 34-year-old Liam Cotgreave who was thought to be visiting family in Connah's Quay when the incident happened last Friday.

The man died following a collision with a black BMW car on the A55 North Wales bound carriageway near Vicars Cross shortly after 5.30am on Friday.

Police are continuing to appeal for information or witnesses to the incident.

Liam was a pedestrian. The driver of the BMW car, a 45-year-old man from Chester, was uninjured but left shocked.
