Family pay tribute to Mold mum who died in Padeswood crash

Padeswood crash

THE heartbroken family of a doting mum from Mold say she will never be forgotten.

Joanne Hill, 39, of Lon yr Orsaf, died in a two-vehicle crash on the A5118 in Padeswood at about 8.20pm on Saturday.

Her sister Louise said Joanne ‘lived for her kids’, 19-year-old Nathan and 13-year-old Charlotte.

Yesterday (Wednesday) Louise added: "They meant everything to her. They were her life."

The fatal crash involved a silver Volvo and a red Vauxhall Corsa. Joanne was a passenger in one of the vehicles.

A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing her death by dangerous driving and later released on bail pending further enquiries.

North Wales Police refused to say which car the man was driving or release any details of his identity.

Louise added: "She was a kind, gentle person, who liked gardening and reading.

"She was looking forward to getting out and doing the garden this spring.

"There is so much we could say about Joanne, but it’s too heartbreaking.

"We will always remember her with love and affection."

The former Ysgol Maes Garmon pupil also leaves behind parents Gerald and Pamela, who live at Bryn Garmon, Mold, and brother Jason, who lives in Wrexham.

A neighbour, who did not want to be named, said the community had been left shocked by Joanne’s death.

He said: "She was quite private, but she was really nice.

"All the neighbours were shocked when they found out."

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash and have asked for anyone with information to contact them on 101.
