Connah’s Quay man accused of arson at flats

A 20-YEAR-OLD Deeside man charged with arson was remanded in custody by magistrates.

Defendant Joel Christopher Golding, of Chestnut Court in Connah’s Quay, has admitted arson, being reckless as to whether life would be endangered, but he denied the more serious charge of arson with intent to endanger life.

Elizabeth Bell, prosecuting, said at Mold Crown Court that his pleas were not acceptable to the prosecution and he was remanded in custody pending his trial, which will be held in January.

The charges arise following an incident at a block of flats in Chestnut Court on August 28.
