Lorry crash on A55 between Holywell and Northop

EMERGENCY services were called to the A55 between Holywell and Northop after a lorry crash this morning (Wednesday).

Police, fire crews and an ambulance went to the scene about 9.30am after reports of a heavy goods vehicle coming off the road and landing on its side in a ditch.

A spokesman for North Wales Police said: “The lorry left the road near the lay-by where a car and another lorry were parked.”

Fire crews from Flint, Wrexham and Mold went to the scene after initial reports that someone was trapped but were not needed to release anyone from the vehicle.
