CLARE Evans has joined industrial recruitment firm gap personnel, after 14 years at Bank of America in Chester.
Clare is relishing her new role at gap, which will see her focusing on business intelligence and developing the North Wales company’s marketing strategy.
Reporting directly to gap founder and managing director, Gary Dewhurst, Clare will use her expertise to grow the business in key sectors and promote gap’s corporate brand.
Her duties will range from carrying out competitor analysis to researching growth opportunities in different markets.
She said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to play an important role at one of the country’s fastest-growing and most dynamic independent recruitment agencies.
“Already I get the feeling that each individual’s contribution at gap is valued.
“Each person counts and you can leave work at the end of the day knowing that what you have done has made a difference.
“It’s amazing to have the opportunity to make that kind of impact on the business.”
Headquartered in Wrexham, with another key strategic base in Flint, gap personnel is the largest independent recruitment company in Wales.
It operates from 10 sites in North Wales and places 1,500 workers per week nationwide.
The firm’s turnover in Wales stands at around £20m annually, while its total brand turnover for the UK is £50m.
Mr Dewhurst said: “I have no doubt that Clare will be a tremendous asset to gap as we look to maintain the company’s growth into 2011.
“Clare brings with her a wealth of specialist knowledge that will enable her to play a key role in developing our marketing strategy and taking the company forward.”
