Deeside medical technology giant ConvaTec appoints new executive

DEESIDE-BASED ConvaTec, a world leader in medical technologies, has announced the appointment of Robbie Heginbotham to its executive committee.

Mr Heginbotham – senior vice president, global manufacturing and supply chain – assumed the role on an interim basis in January.

In his permanent position he will continue to focus on developing best-in-class quality and service initiatives while overseeing the operational effectiveness of the global manufacturing processes and network.

Mr Heginbotham, who has been with the company for 40 years, has held positions in supply chain management, manufacturing and lean acceleration. Prior to assuming his interim position he was instrumental in establishing the ConvaTec Wound Care Centre of Excellence at Deeside Industrial Park.

ConvaTec CEO David Johnson said: “I am pleased to welcome Robbie into this permanent position on our executive committee.
