P&A Group, Mold, scoops national award

A MOLD company has scooped a national award recognising its excellence in training and development.

Steve Morgan of P&A Group in Mold picked up the Individual Learner gong in the Enhancing Leadership and Management Skills Awards (ELMS).

Wrexham-based Brother Industries UK also won the National Training Award for medium-sized companies.

Brother Industries UK (BIUK) created a training programme to develop its future leaders.

Both companies were presented with their awards by Deputy Minister for Skills, Jeff Cuthbert, and Owen Evans, Director of Skills, Higher Education and Lifelong Learning at the Welsh Government, during the Business Skills Conference at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea .

Steve Morgan, managing director and owner of P&A Group, said he was delighted to be named the best individual learner in the Enhancing Leadership and Management Skills Awards.

Steve said: “The training I undertook has had a massive impact on my vision for the business and improved how I manage and lead the organisation. It has allowed me to develop our plan for growth and profitability which can be seen on the bottom line. These awards showcase the value of developing management and leadership skills for growing businesses.”

The Enhancing Leadership and Management Skills Awards showcase and celebrate the achievements of Welsh organisations that exceed expectations and have a dynamic approach to leadership and management training. Entries are judged on the contribution their training makes across the organisation and on the benefits and impact it has on their success.
