Wrexham business bids for Investors in People award

A RECRUITMENT company worker is backing her employer’s ambitious bid to achieve one of the most recognised business accolades in the UK.

Wrexham-based Gap Personnel, which also has an office in Flint, is going for gold status in the Investors in People awards – achieved by just 1% of UK organisations.

The award is recognised as an achievement of world-class practice. It is regarded as being the mark of a truly cutting-edge organisation operating at the very highest levels of people management practice.

And finance worker Kristy Mostyn is fully behind the bid.

She said the company employs a wide range of staff development tools including management training and flexible and part-time working.

“Gap Personnel doesn’t just have these policies in writing, it puts them into practice, which really helps to improve the quality of life of its staff,” she said.

Gary Dewhurst, managing director, added: “Employees are at the heart of our organisation as we believe an effective, happy workforce is crucial.”
