Bra firms lifts the cup in Times’ survey

STAFF at a lingerie, swimwear and nightwear retailer find working there an uplifting experience, according to a national survey.

Bravissimo, which has 23 stores nationwide including a branch in Watergate Row, Chester, has been named 10th best company to work for in The Sunday Times annual Best Companies list.

The retailer also received the Special Achievement Award for ‘Best for Giving Something Back’ as a result of their environmental and charitable activities including adopting a national charity.

The Chester store encourages customers to donate old bras and more than 70kg of them were recycled last year.

This activity is ongoing and Bravissimo will accept any bras in any condition – you simply pop them into the recycling bins in store.

Bravissimo was founded in 1995 by Sarah Tremellen following her own frustrated experiences trying to find pretty bras in D cup and above, and has grown from a small mail order start up based in the founder’s living room to multi-channel retailer employing almost 700 people.

Shop manager Bex Bojang said: “All the staff at the Chester shop are thrilled with our Best Companies results.

“I love working for Bravissimo and am proud to be leading a team who are dedicated to providing the best service for our customers.”

The company stocks a wide range of lingerie and bra-sized swimwear in D to L cup (28 to 40 back sizes). Bravissimo has its own range of strappy tops with built-in bras, and nightwear with built-in soft cup bar support.
