Chester law firm Aaron and Partners shows support for technology awards

CHESTER commercial law firm Aaron and Partners is celebrating the north’s finest technology entrepreneurs.

The business, based in Grosvenor Court, recently played a key role in a deal which saw Liverpool-based software company ScraperWiki receive financial backing from the North West Fund for Venture Capital.

ScraperWiki has developed an internet platform that enables users to develop and run software to collect data from around the web and is being rolled out across the US.

The investment allowed ScraperWiki to scale up software development activities and increase sales and marketing.

Now Aaron and Partners is supporting the second annual Northern Tech Awards in Manchester on March 29 by sponsoring the Best Venture Backed Tech Startup.

Stuart Scott-Goldstone, head of the corporate commercial team at Aaron and Partners, said: “Through our association with (fund manager) EV and The North West Fund, we have considerable experience in completing investments in rapidly-growing technology companies.

“Supporting the Northern Tech Awards represents a natural progression for us, and we are hoping for some strong submissions in our category.
