Launch of Flintshire Business Week

THE fifth annual Flintshire Business Week FBN has been launched.

FBW12 takes place between October 12-19.

Headline sponsors this year are Mold-based AGS Security Systems, DRB Group and Convatec, both based on Deeside Industrial Park.

Eight days of workshops, events and seminars will culminate in the Flintshire Business Awards at Soughton Hall.

Councillor Peter Macfarlane, cabinet member for regeneration, said: "This is now the fifth year of our Flintshire Business Week – for half a decade it has gone from strength to strength.

"This year sees the return of the two-day business exhibition at Convatec, which proved so popular in 2011 that we are providing more exhibition space this year.

"Our FBW12 magazine is also a fantastic way to find out more about the week, as well as the companies and partners involved."

He added: "The whole event is a great networking experience and I would urge businesses in Flintshire and beyond to sign up."

AGS boss Jonathan Turner enjoyed such a successful spell as headline sponsor at last year’s awards he signed the company up again... and again and again.

The company will sponsor the event until 2014.

"It was such a great occasion that I had no hesitation in committing to it for the next three years," he said.

"It was brilliant to be involved, from a personal and professional perspective.

"We’ve come a long way as a company and are thrilled to be involved again."
