FLINT High School has had its best set of GCSE results for 10 years.
And the number of students receiving grades A*–C is up 10% on last year.
Twins Bethan and Teresa Phillips celebrated identical GCSE grades in the same subjects except one.
The each gained two As, four Bs, two Cs and a D.
Teresa said: “We didn’t expect to do this well. In maths Bethan was predicted a C and I was predicted a D, but we both got As.”
The siblings will stay on at the school’s sixth form to study maths, physics and product design.
Headteacher Pamela McClean said: “Students and staff have worked hard to achieve success, particularly in science, ICT and music.
“Victoria Wheeler and Rochelle Bedford gained A* and A grades, whilst Jake Massey and Jac Veysey were our top performing boys.
“We are, of course, delighted that so many students have exceeded their potential this year. They are a credit to our school and to their families.”
