DEESIDE College is celebrating being named as the North West Aerospace Alliance Training Provider of the Year.
The college – which provides aeronautical training for Airbus, Thomas Cook and Hawker Beechcraft among others – was presented with the title at the recent awards ceremony at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester.
The North West Aerospace Alliance is a flagship organisation representing companies and stakeholders involved in the North West Aerospace Cluster.
And Deeside College was awarded the title for providing outstanding training for the aerospace industry.
Head of engineering apprentice programmes, Sara Williams, said: “It was a great honour to receive this award, which pays tribute to the hard work and dedication that goes into working with key employers in the industry to provide courses that give learners the real skills needed for the profession.”
Principal David Jones added: “We are extremely proud of the well-established links that we have in the aerospace industry.
“The award is a tribute to the excellent standard if training provided by the staff members in this area.”
