Joanne Hill sentenced to life imprisonment

MURDER mum Joanne Hill has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the Recorder of Chester Judge Elgan Edwards.

Hill must now serve 15 years imprisonment.

Sentencing her Judge Edwards told her: “This has been a very sad case, sad for you, sad for your family, sad for your husband’s family and of course for the child you killed.

“There can be no excuse for what you did and I am afraid you must now pay the penalty.”

Judge Edwards thanked the prosecution and defence lawyers for the way they had conducted the case and the jury.

Turning to the family of Simon Hill he said: “I offer my sincere condolences to the relatives of Naomi Hill who have throughout this case behaved with complete dignity.”
