NORTHOP Hall Country House Hotel and members of Deeside Round Table raised more than £400 during a charity Chateau Lamothe wine tasting event.
The evening was hosted by the owner of Chateau Lamothe, Damien Chombart.
Mr Chombart took guests through the complicated process of wine production.
Funds were raised in aid of the Chester-based charity BIRD – Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Development - an independent charity working to improve the quality of life of people with conditions such as cerebral palsy, Asperger syndrome, Stroke victims, communication disorders and autism.
BIRD representatiive Annie Price said: “We’re thrilled to be the chosen charity of Northop Hall Hotel.
“We rely solely on voluntary donations and are grateful to the hotel and for their efforts and support so far.”
A spokesman for Deeside Round Table said: “ We were only too pleased to help raise funds for BIRD – the wine was pretty good too!”
