Flintshire residents warned to boil water

FLINTSHIRE residents are being warned to boil their water - after tests showed the water supply is contaminated.

Dwr Cymru Welsh Water has issued a precautionary boil water notice to customers in areas of Flintshire and Denbighshire.

A spokesman for Welsh Water said: “Once we know what has caused this problem we will do whatever is required to deal with it and will let our customers know.

“Until then, we judge that the right course of action is to ask our customers supplied by the Alwen water treatment works to boil any tap water before use for drinking or food preparation.”

Towns and villages in Denbighshire and Flintshire affected by the advice:

Cadole, Caerwys, Carmel, Cefn Meiriadog, Cilcain, Clawddnewydd, Clocaenog, Corwen, Cyffylliog, Cynwy, Denbigh, Derwen, Derwydd, Efenechtyd, Eryrys, Ewloe, Fynnongroyw;
