Broughton singer wins talent contest

A BROUGHTON contestant has proved she has talent in a competition.

The Chester’s Got Talent contest saw eight finalists compete for £350 of prizes in The Piper, Hoole.

And Lucy Norbury managed to win the audience vote with her soulful rendition of Hallelujah.

She edged out rock duo Our Way Up and busker Jake Sanson to win the £200 top prize.

The competition was judged by Dee 106.3 radio presenter Jamie Stevens, his partner Jess Forbes and Kath Lloyd, of Vicars Cross.

A raffle and stand-up bingo was also held, with proceeds going to the Chronicle-backed Miles of Smiles charity.
